Reservation
Advance reservation is necessary for confirmation of booking for inpatient treatments. 7 or 11 or 14 or 21 or 28 days are generally recommended for an Ayurvedic treatment program.
Consultation
There will be Doctor's consultation at the time of admission. The treatment plan including treatments/therapies, medicines, diet etc. will be decided by doctor only after direct consultation and depends upon the response towards the treatments and medication. Patients need to carry their medical investigation reports & details of present medication (if any) during their visit for inpatient treatments.
Treatments
Treatments will be conducted either in the morning or in the evening.
Normally there will be one or two sessions of Ayurvedic treatments, oral medication, Pathya-diet ('Pathya diet' means easily digestible vegetarian or organic diet which will be prescribed by doctor for getting maximum benefits out of Ayurveda treatments) etc. during treatment period.

We provide Yoga and basics of Ayurveda during your stay here.
Relaxation
Patients are requested to stay on the premises during the course of treatment and take complete rest. Afternoon naps, physical activity, exercise, stress and exposure to the sun are not encouraged. These activities will adversely affect the benefit of treatment.
Activities
Avoid strenuous activities such as travel, sex, jerky movements and physical work during your stay at Daksha Ayurveda. Avoid sitting for extended periods of over an hour and take short walks and stretch yourself. Reduce energy drain by avoiding excessive or intense discussions, study, watching television, internet use, reading, writing or thinking.
Sleep
Sleep at regular times and preferably between 9:00 pm and 6:00 am.
Avoid day sleep, except for a short nap of about 20 minutes and after a gap of about 3 hours after lunch.
Protection
Use Umbrella while walking outside (both day and night) and minimize the exposure to extreme heat, cold water, sun and wind.
Bath
Don't take bath in bathroom attached to your bedroom. The staff will take care of your bath after the treatments, in the bath rooms attached to the treatment room.
Back-up power
We are located in a remote village away from the city and in a developing country with power shortage. While the power supply is interrupted frequently, they are restored rather quickly. Daksha has its own back-up power generator.
Ayurvedic Diet
Vegetarian food will be served at Daksha, as prescribed by the physician. Avoid overeating and eating before the previous meal has been digested, as well as avoid eating too quickly and swallowing without chewing. Strictly avoid from eating any food from outside Daksha. For drinking medicated water is supplied daily to all guests in their rooms. Guests are advised not to take any food or drinks other than the diet provided at Daksha. Otherwise it will adversely affect the treatments. (Please note many dishes involve the use of rice, wheat, pulses and coconut.)
Usual timing for food will be by 8.30am-10:30am (breakfast), I.00pm-2:00pm (lunch), 4:00pm-5:00pm (afternoon snack/seasonal fruit juice/herbal drink), and 7.00pm-8:00pm (dinner). There may be changes according to the treatment timing.
Restriction
Daksha Ayurveda is strictly an Ayurveda treatment center/hospital; hence please don't expect the facilities of a resort. Daksha Ayurveda is strictly a vegetarian, non-alcoholic & tobacco restricted zone.
Menstruation
It may be kindly noted that, oil based treatments or medication are not done during the menstrual periods (first 3 days of menstrual periods). Female patients are advised to plan their arrival for the treatment according to their menstrual periods so as to avoid the delay in the treatments. They can plan the schedule right after the end of a cycle; so that they get the maximum possible treatment days here.
Toiletries
We provide toilet paper, towel, natural soap, toothpaste& brush, shampoo, bed linen and blanket and tissues.
Currency Conversions
US dollars, Australian dollars, Euros, or British pounds etc. can be converted into Indian Rupees (INR) at the international airports on arrival or at the local town please note that Daksha Ayurveda does not have the facility of foreign currency conversions. Daksha Ayurveda will help you to convert your currency in liaison with UAE Exchange Centre.
Credit and Debit Cards
All major credit and debit cards will be accepted. Online (Internet Banking) and QR code payments will be accepted.
Passport & ID proof
Foreign nationals/citizens are requested to submit a true copy of the Passport & Visa page and to fill the necessary forms for submitting it before the concerned Government authorities.
Others are requested to submit copy of any valid identity proofs with photo such as passport, aadhar card, driving license etc.
Transfers
Transfers between Daksha Ayurveda and airport can be organized for a fee. Please provide us with your flight details and we would love to organize your transfers.

Cloths
There is no strict dress code in Daksha Ayurveda. Modest attire is generally worn in Kerala. Loose cotton cloths that cover your body are great to avoid sun and heat. Sunglasses and hats will be very useful. Shorts, T-shirts, sarongs or wraps, loose shirts, kaftans, loose pants etc. are recommended. During the rainy and cool days (Jun– Jan) a light sweaters are preferred by some people. Sandals, summer shoes, slippers or open toe slip-ons, flip flops, and etc. are recommended footwear within the campus.
Laundry

Rooms
Spacious bed rooms, wooden furniture, king size bed (twin separable) and television with attached bathroom cum toilet with Hot water & Natural water in the toilets – which is a necessity during Ayurvedic treatment days.
Wi-Fi
Each room is equipped with internet connectivity (Wi-Fi) and there is Mobile range of all major service providers for using self-phone - For emergency use of inpatients.
Air Conditioner
Air conditioners - for minimal/emergency use during hot climate/summer.
Valuables
Avoid bringing valuable articles to the center.
Recreation
Items to bring to keep you occupied are Books, CDs / DVDs and player, craft and hobby items, board and other similar games, etc. In keeping with the serene environment all are requested to keep the sound very low to avoid disturbing others.
Herbal Garden
Daksha ayurveda is been surrounded by herbals and medicinal plants which can generate positive energy in your body and mind. Some of the herbs which you can find in the surroundings are bilwa, mustha, vibhithaki, asoka, brahmi, ardraka, haridra, punarnava, jathi etc.
Positive Mind
A peaceful and positive mind-set is required to get the full benefit of the treatments. Avoid subjects, topics, activities and thoughts or situations that may contribute to provocation of emotional outbursts and folks getting upset.
Attend to all natural urges without any delay. These include yawning, burping, passing flatus, thirst, crying and evacuation bowels and bladder.
Discharge
Once the treatment is completed and at time of being discharged from Daksha Ayurveda, the doctors will advise further medication and dietary guidance. Medication, if prescribed, will be provided by Daksha Ayurveda, at a nominal cost. As is mentioned earlier in this document, it is strongly advised to refrain from strenuous exercise and extensive travel immediately after the treatment in favor of relaxation and observe a lifestyle similar to that at Daksha Ayurveda. This should be for a minimum of the same number of days as the treatment. For further advice and guidance please consult the doctor.
Tips & Gifts
Those who wish to do more in supporting the staff, then the desired amount can be given to the office, and it will be distributed equally amongst all the Daksha staff. Please don’t entrust any such things directly to staffs.
